Baby M's Nursery Reveal

Baby Murillo is officially due to arrive in less than THREE weeks (cue nervous laughter for this new mama-to-be), and to say I've been spending any downtime nesting around the house is an understatement — #allthethings are being cleaned, washed, laundered, hung, and organized as we not-so-patiently await the big day!

Her nursery has truly become my favorite room in the house to spend time in lately, and the excitement is even more real now that her room is pretty much complete and ready to go. (Not that a brand new baby NEEDS everything in place from day one, but what a fun project it's been to create a beautiful little space just for her!)

This week, I'm sharing all the details of her nursery — including some of my favorite purchases and where we found them!

Design Inspiration + Color Palette

We wanted to keep the nursery fairly neutral in design, pulling in grays and whites with light wood tones for a modern Scandinavian aesthetic. Of course, I couldn't resist the occasional pop of pink in the space to bring in a feminine touch!

We love the idea of most of the furniture and decor being timeless and multifunctional for future little ones, as well, regardless of gender.

Favorite Finds

We started shopping for the nursery early in the second trimester, knowing it would take time to curate everything we needed for this little girl! Some of our most favorite purchases and gifts in this space are:

Floor-length Blackout Curtains
We found these on Wayfair.com, and I couldn't love them more! They're even prettier in person than online, and they completely black out her room when closed. The white, sheer overlay makes the heavier gray fabric look pretty and soft, perfect for a little girl's nursery!

Wooden Bookcase
This is probably the one piece I get asked most about, and I'm always so happy to share — this bookcase is the cutest thing I've seen, and we found it on sale at Target! It's super sturdy, and I love that she'll be able to hold onto the sides and pull herself up to dig through her collection of books one day.

Swivel Glider
Our glider is easily the softest, most comfortable seat in the house. It rocks and rotates, but has a slightly smaller, more modern design that fits into just about any space. Perfect for rocking, nursing, reading, and more to Baby M!

Ottoman
The blush, knit ottoman has been another favorite already — it's super firm and easy to use as an extra seat or to prop your feet up on, and honestly, I don't think anything could damage this little pouf ball! We found it at At Home, and although they don't have links to products online, they did have quite a few in store in multiple colors at our location, last we checked.

Hanging Closet Organizer
This item is superrr simple (and you can honestly find one anywhere), but we found this organizer at IKEA, and I wish I had gotten a couple more! Since her clothes are so tiny and take up minimal vertical space in the closet, this organizer has been so handy for maximizing more of the space in there by storing all of the bibs, blankets, and swaddles that didn't fit in her dresser.
