Home Office Makeover / Part 01
It's a brand new week, spring has sprung, and there's so much to be grateful for this time of year as exciting changes come to fruition and with sweet summertime just around the corner!
We're in full planning mode over here as we pack up our belongings and start the process of moving back to our home state this summer — and moving into a rental house, which we'll be fixing up a bit over the next couple months.
For the last three years, my office has simply been the corner of our apartment living room; while I LOVE small space solutions, I am beyond excited to start planning for my *new* office in our rental house this summer! I'll have a full room dedicated to my own personal workspace, inventory storage, and packaging, and I'm so thrilled to take you on this journey with me as I design, decide, and decorate #allthethings for this future space of mine.
Inspiration
The inspiration behind the design of this new space is a conglomerate of design ideas I've seen and colors + textures I LOVE. The Workspacery rebrand is a great starting place for what to expect — lots of beautiful neutrals paired with a minimal, southwestern-inspired palette and simple patterns. And plants. All the plants.
I kicked off the initial planning stages this past weekend with a trip to IKEA to round up some of the necessary basics for working and storage, and I'll be documenting the process right here as I gather new ideas and fun finds.
To recap what all we picked up so far:
Storage
- KALLAX 2x4 unit in birch
- Two KALLAX doors for this unit in white
- Two DRONA boxes for this unit in gray
Desk
- Single FINNVARD trestle with shelf in white
- I already own this ALEX storage unit in white for desk support
Wall Shelves
