Your work and your job are two very different things.
It doesn’t seem that way, I know. But they serve two different purposes and are fueled by two different parts of ourselves.
“Work” is the actual set of actions and effort you put into something; it’s what you do. A job, on the other hand, is really just the title you are given to complete the work; it’s the official paperwork, the boss, the structure around the work that you are doing.
Work is what gives you purpose.
As humans, we’re born to create, connect, and collaborate. We are social beings with a drive to help, and we are driven by a sense of purpose, knowing that the actions we take and the work we do is contributing to something somehow.
